Germany is a country in the middle of Europe and has a population of 82 million inhabitants. It has a mountainous region in the south and a multitude of Lakes. In the north you'll find the Coasts with other beautiful landscapes. In Germany there are other attractive cities that are worth a visit. Berlin is without a doubt one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe, and it is definately fascinating. Munich also recieves many visits as it is in the heart of Baveria, known for it's Oktoberfest, the festival of beer by excellence.
Each one of these regions and cities have their own custums and own culture as to what their celebrations are concerned. The different landers (Germany is a federal state) have different culinary specialties and for this reason you can taste different dishes in all of the different areas.

The temperatures vary greatly throught the year, and they are not as extreme as everyone would like to thing. If you like winter sports, Germany is paradise. The regions of Allgau, or Chiemgauer Alpen offer magnificent opportunities for skiing.
If you want holidays on the beach you can also do this in Germany. Almost forgetten by the rest of Europe, northern Germany has two coasts the Nordsee and Ostsee with its beautiful natural surroundings.
Germany is a wonderful tourist destination with many different regions and landscapes to visit that will offer you thousands of things to do during your free time. Germany love sports and for this reason you'll find magnificent sport installations that will offer you the chance to practice your favorite sport.
